  • Unicef Fundraising Event

    Mon 24 Jun 2019

Recently in school, we had a fund raising morning for UNICEF.

Sponsor money is still coming into school, so we will put up the total on Friday this week as it still gives a chance for everyone to return their money.  Thank you for all of you for supporting us in this special event, and for helping to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

It was a really fun morning, and the children gave it everything they had - as usual!

  • International Week - Day 5

    Mon 24 Jun 2019

The final day of our International Week ended with the completion of some wonderful pieces of work - including the Japanese cherry blossom pictures and some fantastic clay elephants.

It was our pleasure to welcome so many parents to our end of International Week display on Friday afternoon - to those of you who were able to come along and support us thank you.

We hope your children have enjoyed this week as much as we have - and learned lots of new things of course!

  • International Week - Day 4

    Fri 21 Jun 2019

Today, the children went to many different countries with their passports.

Some wonderful Japanese pictures of cherry blossom trees were made by blowing paint and making a collage of the blossom.  The finished pictures look tree-mendous!

Delicious pin wheels were made, which the children seemed to really enjoy making and eating.

Year 4 cooked up some delicious noodles and food - have a look at some of the pictures of them tucking in - what a wonderful learning experience to wash, chop. cook, eat (then wash up..!) the entire meal from start to finish.  The children were rightly very proud of themselves.

  • International Week - dancing to the steel pans

    Thu 20 Jun 2019

Have a look at these video clips of our children dancing to the steel pans for some of our International Week activities.

The music of the steel pans could be heard throughout the school and was so uplifting to hear.  A lovely day to remember for our pupils for all the right reasons :-)

  • International Week - Day 3

    Wed 19 Jun 2019

International week is half way through, and today the whole school has been treated to a wonderful Steel Pan Drum Assembly this morning, followed by every class taking part in individual workshops.

The music coming out of the hall has been fantastic - assembly ended with an impromptu "conga" around the hall by the whole school!  What better way to start our Wednesday?!

There were so many different activities taking place throughout the school - it was a hive of activities!

Have a look at the photos below for a snapshot of some of them.

  • International Week - Day 2

    Tue 18 Jun 2019

The children have had a great day taking part in lots of new activities: making clay elephants; decorating masks, learning about new cultures; travelling around the world on their new passports to name but a few!

Please find attached some pictures of today's exciting activities which have taken place in school for our International Week.

  • Fathers' Day Scavenger Hunt 2019

    Mon 17 Jun 2019

Our annual Fathers' Day Scavenger Hunt went really well!

It was fantastic to see so many dads, uncles and granddads come to school to support their Reception and Year 1 children.

We had a wonderful afternoon with lots of fun and laughter smiley.

Lots of special memories were made, and we know how proud our little ones were to welcome their daddies into school.

    Mon 17 Jun 2019

This week two children, Wiktoria and Amelia  were our  "Hot Chocolate Superstars".

They both enjoyed a hot choccy and a chat with Mrs Kearney as recognition of going that extra mile in their efforts this week.

    Well done!
