Larchfield Primary and Nursery School

Our children are central to all that we do.

Breakfast Club

Staff:

Mrs W Lawson (Supervisor)

Mrs S Murdoch

Our Breakfast Club sessions are open Monday to Friday term time only and will NOT include INSET Days or any other school closures.

The Club runs from 7.45am until 8.40am.

Parents should bring their child into school for 7.45am where they will be collected by a member of our breakfast club team via the main school gate. Please ensure your child is dropped off ready to be brought into school at 7.45am.  If your child is not here for 7.45am when the

children are collected, it will not be possible for them to attend club on that day.  We have strict measures in place to keep everyone safe.

Parents are required to bring their child to the gate each morning and register their arrival with a member of staff. Please DO NOT just drop them off at the gate. This will allow us the opportunity to pass on any important messages.

CHARGES

Children are provided with a selection of cereals, toast and preserves at a cost of £2.50 per child per session. Payments should be paid in advance through your Scopay account.

This is a non-profit making service offered to support parents/carers and provide good quality before school provision. It is essential that all payments are pre-paid to ensure that we cover the costs of running the club and can maintain a good service.  We are now a cashless school so it will not be possible to bring cash in, as before.

BEHAVIOUR

The same high standard of behaviour and respect that is expected in school is also expected in our Breakfast Club. Although the children are able to choose which activities they participate in, they are expected to co-operate with the staff and other children.

Should an individual’s behaviour be deemed unacceptable then parents will be contacted. This is not a statutory service offered by the school and we reserve the right to withdraw this service to individuals if any of the above are not adhered to.

At Larchfield School, we believe that breakfast is an important start to the children’s school day. The children can start the day with a good breakfast and enjoy a range of activities related to the school curriculum with their friends.  The club is operated by school staff so that the children are familiar with the staff.  The supervisor Mrs Lawson has successfully completed the Level 2 - Food Safety and Hygiene course.

Activities range from Maths related games, handwriting practice, word games, art and design, quiet reading, help with home learning and personal development.
