  • Years 4 and 6 visited Maidenhead Library yesterday

    Thu 28 Feb 2019

Years 4 and 6 had a lovely walk in the sunshine to Maidenhead Library.

The children met author Piers Torday and spent the morning in our wonderful local library.

As always, our children showed great Pride in the Badge and our members of staff were complimented by passers-by how well behaved and sensible they were on their walk into town.

  • Year 4 at the Primary Dance Festival!

    Wed 27 Feb 2019

Year 4 are famous!  We have taken a photo of the article in the latest edition of the Maidenhead Advertiser (and there is also a copy of this up in the school reception area by the office).  There were several photos of our amazing Year 4 dancers who took part in the recent Primary Dance Festival the Magnet Leisure Centre.

    Year 4 Primary Dance Festival

Year 4 did themselves proud (and of course represented our school beautifully) at the Primary Dance Festival at the Magnet Leisure Centre this week. Primary Schools from all over the borough took part in this two day festival and performed a dance to literally hundreds of parents, Headteachers and local press. It is a huge event, and to those of you lucky enough to be able to attend, I am sure it is a lasting memory which you will treasure! The children have worked incredibly hard on their dance and showed real “Pride in the Badge” both on stage and behind the scenes. Well done Year 4.

  • Year 6 Assembly

    Fri 15 Feb 2019

Year 6 had their class assembly this week.  It was a tremendous performance with songs, readings and some emotional readings.  Everyone learned a great deal about the war, particularly with regards to children being evacuated.

Well done to Year 6 for a very moving assembly.

  • Years 1 and 2 School Trip to Woolley Firs

    Thu 14 Feb 2019

Years 1 and 2 went to Woolley Firs!

Super outdoor learning at Woolley Firs for our Y1 and 2 children. Still buzzing about it! Thank you Woolley Firs for a great opportunity to be involved in and discover nature.

They had a go at pond dipping and looked at many different creatures which were living in the beautiful pond at Woolley Firs.  The children identified the creatures they had found and really enjoyed themselves!  The creatures were carefully replaced in the pond afterwards.

The children also learned about seeds and how they are spread (clue- bees and insects!).

Following on from their school trip, Years 1 and 2 have been really inspired to carry on their learning in school.

What a great day!  What an amazing, inspiring place!  We love nature!  We love learning about science!

Thank you for all your kind donations to Sign 2 Sing. We raised £74.83 for this worthy cause. The children really enjoyed learning and performing the song.
