8.3.24
Finally we topped off the week by dressing up as characters from the books we have read.
7.3.24
We had great fun this afternoon. We dropped everything and read; we did our best to find people who had read different types of books (we weren't allowed to use the same person more than twice) and we had a go at a couple of interactive book quizzes! Sorry their are no photos of everyone reading - Miss Coates had her nose in a book too!
7.3.24
Our second author event was John Patrick Green - creator of The Investigators series of graphic novels. He talked to us all about how long it took him to realise that pictures can be telling stories! Graphic novels are just as valid reading as novels. We also got to draw along with him to learn how to draw Mango from the books.
6.3.24
Our first of three author events this week was with the wonderful Emily-Jane Clark - author of The Knobbly Bottom series. She talked us through how she comes up with her ideas, gave us some top tips, read a section of the latest book and talked a lot about poo...We then used her tips to create our own beasts for use in our writing next week.

Kicking off our school Book Week with a Big Book Swap. Thanks to the kind donations of our school family, everyone was able to leave today with a new book.
World Book Day dress up
9.2.24
World Book Day is fast approaching and today you will have been emailed the below document. It contains a list of the books we have read and some character ideas for our book dress up day on Friday 8th March.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
