Years 5 and 6 had a really interesting author visit - the author of popular novel ‘Horrible Histories’ Martin Brown talked about the importance of illustration and spoke about the conflict of World War 1, including life in the trenches. He also joined in activities with them as characters ‘came to life’ through Martin’s creativity.
This was organised through the RBWM Library Service’s Outreach team as part of their WW1 programme.
It was very inspiring and showed how anyone can be an illustrator and how illustrations can bring a topic to life.
Year 6 and Reception Sharing Afternoon
Year 6 had a wonderful time working with our Reception children. They were such great role models and enjoyed sharing their books, hearing the children read and generally having lots of fun!
It was a great success and something we will definitely be doing more of in school.
Thank you to all of our Year 6 and Reception children for working so well together
Our Reception children had a great time planting some lovely flowers in school.
Have a look in the planter by the main school reception. We are sure you will agree they did an amazing job!
We can't wait to see the flowers bloom.
Please click on the link to see a lovely thank you letter which we have received from Foodshare, Maidenhead for all the wonderful food which you kindly donated for our Harvest assembly.
Thank you for everyone who contributed!
