Larchfield Primary and Nursery School

Our children are central to all that we do.

Year 3 Trip to BCA

Year 3 had a wonderful afternoon on Thursday 24th May at the BCA. We were treated to a tour of the animals, where we saw an armadillo and other small animals who like quiet places to live. We then visited the racoons, Otters, Meer cats and monkeys. We were able to feed them all with meal worms. We learnt about how snakes and spiders shed their skins and even got to feel some skins. Almost everyone held a cockroach and we learnt that they are vital to our existence as they eat all the dead leaves and other things!

After our visit to the animals we went to the Performing Arts Studio where we watched a performance of Wind in the Willows. We got to meet the cast and ask them questions about the performance. We all thought that it was brilliant!
