Free School Meal Vouchers - update as at 20.01.2021
Please note that the weekly £15 supermarket vouchers will be available by the end of this week for the period 18th January 2021 - 12th February 2021.
Covid Winter Grant Scheme
A new £170 million Covid Winter Grant Scheme announced on 8 November will be run by local authorities in England.
For those who haven't received any ecodes, if you haven't done so already please email me pam.malli@larchfieldschool.co.uk
If you are eligible for this scheme, you will receive an email this week, which contains a 16-digit eCode and a link to the redemption. www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk
Once families have received their voucher, they will be able to redeem them in-store at the selected retailer by either:
Families are free to select the most appropriate food and drink for their child. When selecting products, we encourage families to consider health and nutrition. The School Food Standards may act as a useful guide for families.
The vouchers should not be redeemed for any age-restricted items, such as alcohol, cigarettes or lottery tickets.
There are a number of online resources available to support families in preparing healthy and nutritious food, including on the NHS Eat Well website.
