Larchfield Primary & Nursery School

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Your daughter or son has only one chance to enjoy a good primary education. Choosing the right school for your child is therefore one of the most important decisions that you will ever make. Confidence in selecting a school comes from knowing and understanding the underlying ethos. At Larchfield this is represented in our school vision;

“Our children are central to all that we do. Working as one together, we aim to inspire and educate so that each child can go further, learn better and contribute more.”

In order to live this vision we have the highest expectations of ourselves and of every child. We encourage independence from the very earliest stage of learning. Our structured system from Nursery through to Year 6 ensures that your child becomes a happy and confident learner. We continually evaluate our teaching and every child’s learning. This includes regular assessment and monitoring of individual rates of progress and attainment in English, Maths and Science.  Early identification of any problems, followed by intervention, ensures that every child meets their potential.

This website’s information will give you an insight into what it is like to be at Larchfield.  We are thrilled to be able to say that our children love learning and are very proud of their school.  They would love to give you a tour so that you can experience the purposeful and happy atmosphere for yourselves. Please come and see us; we look forward to meeting you.
