Our Breakfast Club sessions are open Monday to Friday term time only and will NOT include INSET Days or any other school closures.
The Club runs from 7.45am until 8.40am.
Parents should bring their child into school via the school entrance. Please ensure your child is not dropped off any earlier than 7.45am as the school does not provide supervision until that time.
Parents are required to bring their child into the club each morning and register their arrival with a member of staff. Please DO NOT just drop them at the door. This will allow us the opportunity to pass on any important messages.
Children are provided with a selection of cereals, toast and preserves at a cost of £2.00 per child per session. Payments should be paid on the day. Pre-payment can be organised with Mrs Lawson, you will be reminded when funds are close to being needed to be topped-up.
This is a non-profit making service, offered to support parents/carers and provide good quality before school provision. It is essential that all payments are received on time to ensure that we cover the costs of running the club and can maintain a good service.
The same high standard of behaviour and respect that is expected in school is also expected in our Breakfast Club. Although the children are able to choose which activities they participate in, they are expected to co-operate with the staff and other children.
Should an individual’s behaviour be deemed unacceptable then parents will be contacted. This is not a statutory service offered by the school and we reserve the right to withdraw this service to individuals if any of the above are not adhered to.
At Larchfield School, we believe that breakfast is an important start to the children’s school day. The children can start the day with a good breakfast and enjoy a range of activities related to the school curriculum with their friends. The club is operated by our teaching assistant's so the children are familiar with the staff. The supervisor Mrs Lawson has successfully completed the Level 2 - Food Safety and Hygiene course.
Activities range from Maths related games, handwriting practice, word games, art and design, quiet reading, help with home learning and personal development.
