Larchfield Primary and Nursery School

Our children are central to all that we do.

Home Learning

We will be starting a new topic after Easter and below is the grid for Home Learning. This one will run up to May half term and children as before need to accumulate 20 points in total, more if they choose. Enjoy Intrepid Explorer's.

Welcome to T4 and a new topic grid for Home Learning. Our topic this term is 'An Island Home'. This terms grid will work slightly differently to last term, the children can complete whichever activities they choose, aiming to accumulate 20 points in total. These points will be turned into house points. This grid will run up to the first day back after the Easter holiday. Photos will be taken of the children's pieces of work and posted under this star 'Home Learning'. Alongside this there will be spellings to learn each week, daily reading and daily times tables practice please

Can I just say a huge Thank you to all of you who helped your child with the 'Charlie & The Chocolate Factory' grid, we had some spectacular pieces of Home Learning coming in, it was wonderful to see the children's enthusiasm and the parents. It truly surpassed my expectations and all of you have set the bar I am really looking forward to seeing how you get on with this topic.

Thank you all for your support.

Mrs Johnson

This term we are introducing a topic grid with lots of activities for your child to complete between now and the end of the half term holiday. The activities relate to the topic we will be learning about this term. This will run alongside the weekly Spelling home learning set. Please note that separate maths and English may not be set every week now. The topic grid is colour coded and your child should choose a minimum of 3 activities (but more if you like), one from each colour. Once an activity has been completed please bring in to class, we look forward to sharing and displaying your children's work. When you look at the grid you will see that there are house points and stickers for their charts awarded to each activity. The more activities you do, the more rewards you receive!!

Have fun completing Y2.
