24. 3.21 - Athenian Democracy. We compared democracy today with how it was in Athens in the time of the Ancient Greeks, the birthplace of democracy. Our boule proposed 3 new laws but we only agreed on one!

11.11.20 This week we have been learning about and marking Remembrance Day. Year 5 made beautiful poppy jars and one thoughtful child drew a beautiful poppy picture to commemorate this special time.
12.10.20 In Maths today Year 5 were practicing their Ping Pong number bonds.
08.10.20 In Science Year 5 were testing the effects of gravity on items with different mass.
1.10.20 Today we researched information about Viking longships as part of our DT project. We calculated the size of a Viking ship based on the number of oarsmen.
23.09.20 - Today we created our own Anglo Saxon brooches to go with the outfit we designed.
17.09.20 - Year 5 have been measuring out a scaled version of the Universe!
