What a brilliant Science Day we have had! The children have been doing lots of different experiments using materials that are found in the kitchen. They made a fruit battery; became spies using invisible ink; made a rocket fly; made an explosive volcano; made a firework display in water; made super snot and a fizz bomb. What super scientists we have in the making.
10.1.19 Year 4 have been learning that sound is made when objects and materials vibrate.

8.01.19 A big thank you to Jane Douglass who came in to do a dance workshop with Year 4 today. We are on our way to learning our dance for the Dance Festival on Wednesday 13th February.
8.01.19 The class have taken to programming with gusto! They have been using Scratch to move sprites and add sound to them.
17.12.18 After designing and writing instructions - the class made their Roman purses.

12.12.18 Year 4 have been following instructions as part of our English to make Christingles in their RE lesson this afternoon.

6.12.18 Snowflake Day in Year 4. The children have been making Maths games, snowflakes, wreaths, Christmas bauble wishes...and so much more! A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Lamont-Arthur for all her fabulous and creative ideas.
30.11.18 The children were asked to make as many equal arrays as possible for the amount of cubes they had. This helped them to visualize the factor pairs.
29.11.18 Year 4 have been enjoying their learning about factors in Maths - They have made some creepy crawlies with the factors written on their legs. The tails show that they are square numbers while the lack of legs and tail show that they are prime numbers.
23.11.18 Even more children have come into school with Roman shields, swords and helmets that they have made. Please check on our Home learning area to find the latest additions. Thank you for working so hard with your children and taking such an interest in their learning.
Maths is fun! Year 4 have been using their knowledge of times table facts while playing a variety of games.
